Rachel Melvin
Rachel Melvin graduated from Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Arizona in 2003, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment. In just a few short months, she began booking various roles in television and feature films, starting with her debut performance as "Meg" in the independent horror film, Boo (2005). After guest star appearances in the then-WB's "Jack & Bobby" (2004) and "Summerland" (2004), as well as on ABC's "8 Simple Rules" (2002), Rachel booked a contract role playing "Chelsea Brady" on NBC's "Days of Our Lives" (1965). Following two consecutive Daytime Emmy nominations for the Outstanding Younger Actress category, Rachel left the world of soaps in May 2009, after four years, to pursue other acting opportunities. Since then, she has appeared on NBC's "Heroes" (2006/II) as "Annie", Claire's (Hayden Panettiere) college roommate, and can be seen in the Lifetime Movie Network's original mini-series, "Seven Deadly Sins" (2010). When not working, Rachel spends her days in Los Angeles, where she resides with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, "Murphy". When not acting, she devotes most of her time to dancing and singing. She also makes it a priority to remain active in her support and contribution to two charities very important and close to her: "The American Diabetes Association" and "Samantha's Friends". She hopes to eventually write a children's book, where the proceeds go to both of these organizations. Rachel moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career immediately after graduating from high school in Phoenix, Arizona in May 2003. She booked her first audition in early 2004 for the independent horror film, Boo (2005), playing the role of "Meg", and has since continued to work steadily on various commercials and episodics. She is most known for her portrayal of the character, "Chelsea Brady", on NBC's "Days of Our Lives" (1965).
